Amanda Cooper has been the Councillor for Bracken Ridge since 2007 and has worked hard to make the local area a better place to live.

As a member of Campbell Newman's team, Amanda has delivered improvements to local parks, roads and transport infrastructure.

Amanda and her husband, Geoff and their three children have been active members of local school, bushcare and sporting associations.

These experiences have given her a real insight into the unique character and strong community spirit of the local area.
She is committed to ensuring that the ongoing growth of the area is well planned with the necessary facilities and infrastructure to keep it a great place for families.
Before becoming a Councillor, Amanda worked with Lord Mayor Campbell Newman as his policy advisor on Urban Planning and Economic Development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (double major in Government).

Following the success of Campbell Newman gaining a majority at this years election, Councillor Cooper has taken on the important role of Chairperson of the Neighbourhood Planning and Development Assessment Committee.

Having grown up in the Bracken Ridge Ward, Amanda has now chosen to live there with her husband and three children.  
Amanda is passionate about the needs of this fast growing community.  She is committed to providing facilities and services to ensure the local area retains its unique character and strong community spirit.
