It is my absolute pleasure to announce that the Telegraph Road Corridor Upgrade was declared complete by the Lord Mayor Graham Quirk and myself today. We are also proud to share that this project has been delivered on time with a saving to Brisbane ratepayers of more than $100 million. Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said Telegraph Road was one of the city’s most important suburban arterial roads and Council’s upgrade had widened the 4.3 kilometre corridor to four lanes, with improved flood-resilience and new pathways to boost safety for all road users.

The project will not only deliver benefits for motorists, but also pedestrians and cyclists with new active travel options along the entire length of Telegraph Road, as well as sections of Lemke and Depot roads, helping local residents get home quicker and safer.
